I think your crop here is much too tight, I would have liked to see more context and perhaps a different angle that would make the image more self-explanatory. Right now if it weren't for the title I wouldn't have a very clear idea what the photo was meant to be about - an unknown man with closed eyes. The tight framing has also chopped off a bit of his hand.
The immediate background is not the best, especially that leg right behind the man's face (note the similarity in tones), I think if you had waited a few seconds the person behind your subject would have walked away.
Finally there's a problem with blown-out highlights, this is a technological problem with digital cameras and something to be careful about when shooting in high-contrast situations. With film you would probably be able to keep those highlights in check, with digital once they're blown out they're lost forever, so it might be better to underexpose a bit and then lighten the shadows.
