Turner Falls is in the state of oklahoma usa. Catherine are you an okie? I am from the okc area... and i have visited turner falls. like the stopped water, great shot.

Very cool, Cathy. You have just enough water and sky. I wouldn't have liked either to be cut out. Personally I like the stopped effect of the water; it adds a crisp clarity to the shot.

Thanks for the email and the comment on my photo. I'm a little busy right now but I'll certainly write back within the next week - could be interesting! I like this photo very much, it's a stunning location. It's a shame that the sky is 'blown-out' and lost detail but that's bound to happen with a picture of this type. This is the kind of location I'd go back to early in the morning or late evening (depending which way it faces) in order to get a longer exposure, warmer colours and a more balanced sky. Please don't get me wrong, I really do like this (if I hated it, I wouldn't comment!). It's nice and sharp and altogether a nice image. Well done.

Beautiful falls, and you have captured them so well, I myself would have liked a slightly slower shutter so the water wasn't so stopped, but that all comes down to each persons preference.

This looks like a wonderfull quite spot where you can rest and make some superb photo's! It is really a classic nature photo, not wild or with action, just quite and peacefull! Really a wonderfull photo, superb shot!
