Now I don't want to run into any of these again just with a camera. I have seen snakes here in CA but only one dead rattler. I know their there out there. I have run into them a lot when I was hunting in Utah but that is a different story. Nice capture like the motion blur on the tail.

Heh heh...I think I'll stick to bees and wasps man! Good capture and an interesting comp here.
At first I didn't care for it but it beats having the snake dead center in the frame and you did include the most important parts of him/her. Too bad you missed the tongue though but not the end of the world!
