About Not so lethal of course ! It's villus on the leaf of nettle ! At the base of this weapon there is the fluid that causes the itch ! This villus serves as a syringe !
Now some technical info : The lenses are the same used for the previous ones .. with a small difference ! Reversing one of the lences I saw the miracle!! the diameter of the base of this thing is about 0,2 mm !!

Ouch! You are doing some good macro work. One little secret to macro (don't know if you know this yet, excuse if you do!), is to line the subject up so the depth of field is not a problem. There is no depth of field in macro this close. So to turn the thorn so that you view it completely from the side, would give you sharpness all over it. Have fun, keep up the good work. I love macro too.
