This is like going back to the basics of photography, or rather the grass roots for me. The distortion does more justice to the geometry than a more technical approach. The distortion is truer to the feeling of that place, though I've never been there. There's something, an indefineable quality that's been successfully put into the photograph that's rare; sort of like the written descriptions of places that are only found in novels and essays.
