Great shot. I don't even mind the loss of detail in the boy's clothing. The competing textures of fence, door, and wall are fantastic, and your print does them justice.

sort of like it and deslike it : there is something about the person? in the right that bothers me, it looks artificial, not real motion, maybe i'm wrong...

A fave. reminds me of the film with Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie.. Don't Look Now or something or other. I have to say the disolving of the kids face is what fascinates me the most... brilliant. Like Andy Pandy meets Freddy on Elm Street. Sorry I hate Freddy but that's the only way I can describe it.

Excellent photograph, Scott! Wonderful sense of motion in the child hurrying away to hide as his playmate counts down - this image tells the story of this kid's game beautifully! I very much like how the moving child is at the edge of the frame - he's outta there! :) Maybe just a slight counter-clockwise rotation to level it?
