Very haunting and unusual shot of this often photographed landmark. The density of the fog could not be more perfect.
Well seen and captured.

Delightful image! Lovely composition. Mistic and intimate mood. Very well done.
This is the castle that inspired the more or less "replica" in Disneyland, Los Angeles, USA.
My best regards,
Hugo

Many thanks to all of you for the nice comments!
Just a few facts here... The picture was taken in the southern part of Germany. (Neuschwanstein... if my spelling was right???) It is really a wonderful place... The day I was there was a stormy day and I was lucky to capture this romantic castle on a very different way... Thanks for every one once again!

I hope that this is someplace like Transylvania and not Disneyland. I can almost see Dracula scaling the walls. I like the space you've given this, it makes it more mystical. It would be tempting to crop it but I think the foliage in the foreground helps to give the scene a sense of isolation and mystery. Wonderful capture on what many would deem a lousy day for a photo, weather-wise.

This almost looks like a haunted castle because of the fog. Great work!

Blarg! This pretty much rocks my world. I need to move to a country that has castles... specifically like the cloud texture and the way the castle fades off to nothingness - if we saw stuff behind the castle, it just wouldn't have the same effect. The trees in the foreground that fade off really sell the depth, too. Niiiice!
