About From earlier this evening. Used PS to desaturate and color back in the subject. I keep trying to make these better and have enjoyed the color on B&W mucho!

Thanks for the comment on my soccer shot Dan. I wasn't sure about the ball either. It was sharp but i softened it a bit, might try to keep it sharp and soften the rest. By the way nice work with this shot. Can tell lots of delicate work in PS went into this one. Maybe messing with the contrast could make the background a bit less drawing to the eye. Great work, and thanks, Tim.

Great shot but I stick to my opinion that I don't like pictures that are manipulated in whatever way. With color background it still would be a great picture. The color now makes the boy 'unreal' but with colors the attention would still go to the boy and make the photograph more realistic in my view. No comments on the picture: it's just great!

Mike, I took several photos yesterday shooting shutter priority. It's a bit of a change for me as I normally shot Av mode. I'll play with the ISO until I'm able to get the rest of the setting the way I want. And I'll tell you, I am REALLY liking how the color on B&W is turning out. Doesn't work on everything, but when it does :) Regards, Dan

Did you do this shutter priority set to 400 and the camera figured out a iso? Great action shot as always. The desaturated background technique is becoming your signature in the sports action area.
