Great windscreen wiper effect Lorenzo gives very original image. I think I prefer the effect just above the building. This is a most beautiful building very nicely caught.

another gorgeous image, Lorenzo..what i see here are two things, one, your taste for the romantic and your affinity for the abstract. These two impulses are always at war in my work but you seem quite comfortable integrating both in one image. i find this hugely inspiring. The distortion from the windshield gives this classic scene weird, unnatural shadows, almost like cut glass facets, the coloration of the photo reinforces the romantic quality. One thing, i think you should be a little careful not to take your levels out too far because you can get banding, as appears in the sky. What i do when an area might be a little sensitive to too much adjustment (of any kind, levels, curves, sharpening, softening, whatever) is i select the area i want to correct and feather the selection 100 or 150 pixels and then apply the correction tool. The feathering gives a gradient effect that is very natural. i use PhotoShop, not PaintShopPro so i don't know the equivalent tools. i used to use PaintShopPro, though, so when you talk about the technique of the clarify tool, i recall that tool, but that just affects the texture, doesn't it? Did you use saturation to color the Assisi image in that bizarre way? (the one with the electric grass :)) Best regards: kat~
