this one is one of the best of those sssions you describe. and i would be ever so happy to encounter a model with such a range of expressions like letizia. not only under the adverse circumstances you described, you have captured her in a very convincing and attractive way.

First of all I'd like to thank you all for your positive and negative comments as well.
I feel that I should explain,though,the critical circumstances under which I have made EVERY portrait and might keep doing and posting in the future.
I do not own a shooting set. My pictures are taken at public photographic settings where people who buy and trade cameras,mostly collectors like me, go to try out their equipments.
The result is that nothing can be chosen...the girls,their dresses and outfits, their poses and expressions and...sadly those awful backgrounds which ruin every picture. Since we are many photographers,I'm not allowed to stand up in front,lay on the floor or choose the best position,sometimes it's even impossible to move around because these big guys literally push me away or step on me and on my cameras bags mercilessly.
So,I have to make the best with what I have. The lighting is also poor and very badly positioned. The only positive note is that it's free. This allows people who want to study seriously to have a chance of photographing quite famous models without spending a fortune.
Of course I have to drive up and down Italy every couple of weeks and that can be very tiring,but it's also a good school which I recommend. Most of all,it's lots of fun!!!

If anything, comments like those from David Cohen give more credibility to this site. We all learn when honest comments are made. I really admire those that share their ideas on what they would do differently or how they would improve an image.

Hello! I like it much! Maybe a litlle bit overburned on left side her face and shoulder but ok! Next time you should keep eye on model pose - the left shoulder is too strong visible and spoil the first plan. Nice! Regards, Kac

I have several things about this photothat I don't like.....
Her eyes are looking down to the floor and off to the side
this makes her left eye look lazy the lighting on the left side it too strong compaired to the right and there are no catch lights in her eyes to give them a little twinkel.
I would have moved the camera so that it didn't see some of the chair and to try to make the model feel more comfortable.
I also would have used a different f-stop so that the background was a little more out of focus and baybe a hair light.
but.....
I was not there, I didn't shoot the shot and I do not know what the conditions were like....
