About Found this insect in my backyard this morning. Sort of looks like a mosquito but I beleive this is a moth. The body length of this insect is about 1/4".

Great macro Ronnie - This is a male "gnat" (characterized by the feathery antenneae)of the insect family Chironomidae. Easily confused with mosquitoes but the mouthparts are poorly developed and adults of many species dont feed at all. Occur in large numbers (often in breeding swarms) near freshwater or even intertidal areas where the larvae feed on decomposing plant material. Kind regards.
