Thanks for your kind comments Roger! Glad you liked this photo. If you want to find these skies in Japan, you need to get away from Tokyo and go climb a mountain. This shot was taken at about 7:00 am at an elevation of around 1000m. Even at that height, the sky gets hazy in the afternoon.

Argh! WHERE do you find those beautiful blue skies? I sometimes feel we aren't living in the same country... this is Japan, right? The land of white skies, grey skies, anything but BLUE skies. The branches seem to be signalling to each other... a memorable image.
