I am using the Canon Tele converter TC-DC58N for this shot. Yes, it was done without a tripod. I was laying on the COLD ground supporting the camera with elbows wat out and I breathed very little... This is the best of 120 shots taken this way with different exposure settings and shutter speeds.

Brad, nice shot! You really got some good detail and the exposure is perfect I think. I don't know how you managed without a tripod! I never got one shot as good as this one, but I pasted together a bunch of them into a montage in my portfolio if you're interested. Very well captured, Brad!
regards, Charlie

nice shot, not completely sharp, but you captured the eclipse very well!
what a pity of the blue chromatic aberration in the lower right of the moon. must be your teleconverter, combined with a slight local over exposure.
keep shooting!
