This image lets our minds wander into the receding background. Where are you going, where have you been, who are you? Who am I? Yet, the rich and beautiful way the lighting and tone have modelled the surface of the shoes integrates the whole frame into a surface to suit our mood - comfort, nostalgia, mystery, promise. Shoes are essentially stupid, boring objects, but these are not. These are warm, substatial and alive...and they have a story to tell...if they could only speak...

I like the name of image Come & go it says a lot, maybe I?m a little bit critical here but if you look at left shoe it seems that its not strait, (a little bit on way to fall down, I don?t know if it was so that you wanted to be!!)
I usually take of all the product labels when it comes to artistic photography and if you just make the belt a little bit more in circle form, would be wonderful.
I stop saying more. I love your works.

I like the position of the light and how there appears to be nothing around the shoes (almost floating)- it gives the photo a pleasant softness, relaxing.

what a wonderful way to take an everyday object and transform it into an object of beauty. wonderful soft lighting and lack of background make the subject leap off the page. the counterposition of each shoe adds to this. i am envious.
