Hi Sandy:
The combination of the title and image conjurs up an unsettled feeling for me. The image I get is that of a woman alone, who upon hearing noises in the night and calls out, almost wishfully, "Mum, is that you?"
Probably not what you intended, but it's where the look of apprehension in the image takes me. --Best, Jim

Sandy ? You have captured a very personal emotion in your photo. It shows all our vulnerabilities that we are very reluctance to impress.
I applaud your courage - Regards Brian

The title is perhaps as emotive as the image. Hopefully these works aren't too draining to do... The eyes at the top are quite unsettling as is what you've done with the whole expression.

thank you very much everyone for commenting on this piece.. my mother was a very important being in my life. and although this may be somewhat of a dark image to remember her by..when i finished it...the title came to mind.. the piece and then the title..the bottom person is my rational dealing and sadness , where as the top is the sickening fear that comes along with the loss of a parent.. this is just my story, i don;t know, perhaps we all see things differently.. thank you again... this photo is the original that the entire piece was stemmed from.. thanks again and take good good care,
:) sandy
