just out of curiosity, and to bring this photo to the top again;), will that mount work with all nikon cameras?

i have, at home, a Celestron 910mm f11 (i think)...it's a 4.5" reflector with no motor mount on the tripod, so I'll have to do all that by hand anyway...but the tripod is pretty good and the cables are pretty stable and smooth...so it should be too bad. i could give more detailed info on my tele if it were with me...but i have no room in this apartment. how much did that mount cost?

John, the mount is a Digi-T (scopetronics) very nice mount.
ISO is 100 (Digital) the DEC started at 36 degress and, ended
at 16 degrees (out of view) tracking was done by hand, I did not engage the motor (next time I will) focal length of
the camera for this was 24.60mm the scope is 1250mm f13. Model of the scope is a Meade ETX90 Maksutov/Cassegrain.

i, being an astronomy major, find this very beautiful!:)

what mount did you use to hook the camera to the telescope?
also, what ISO setting did you have your camera set to?

Jon, This was a little tricky....the Moon was moving fairly quickly, it was very bright, therefore I used an Orion variable polarizing filter to bring out the "true" color.
I also had to back way out using a 25mm eyepiece because I
was into the craters without a round shape (what is it mode) I think there is a half Moon tonight and, a full Moon on the 21st. Will post my second attempt. Al

Good work. You've got a keeper with this one. I know guys who've been trying for years to get one like this.
