About Driving back from the Sand Dunes in Saskatchewan we were lucky enough to catch a true Saskatchewan sunset where the whole sky was afire. Used hay bales as foreground, as that's mainly what the backdrop is. Flare taken out in PS. Can post the original is anyone wants to see it and compare whether or not the flare is best left in or taken out.

I've seen quite a number of sunset pics since joining Usefilm, and I have to say that I count this one amongst the strongest.

The inclusion of the hay bales was a very good idea, they add scale and perspective to the image, and also act to provide something interesting in the foreground (this seems to be lacking in a majority of fiery sky images). Also their placement in the image appeals to my compositional tastes.

What I also like about the photo is that the sun is still present, providing a rich yellow to liven up the red and black sky. I think the original flare version is even better.

Great clouds and good composition. I really like how you sandwiched the sun between two bushes. I'd like to see the flare version. Sometimes, flare adds to the image.
