Not set up (hounest) I was shooting a deconsicrated Muslim cemetery and stumbled on this rusty bike and a smashed TV. I'm still not sure if I prefer this in B&W but the rest of the Discarded series are desaturated and I want the whole study to be in the same format. Coming soon part three......car covered in Ivy that looked fabulous but I couldn't get a decent angle on!
Dont know what it looked like in color, but unless it was exceptional, then I think a toned b&w is really suitable (if a little cliched) for this sort of shot. The tight crop works really well, both in isolating the bike and giving us some detail of the damage.
excellent composition, i like this technique of show only a part of the object, and let the ovserbator work with imagination! excellent contrast between B&W. cheers
