Ahhh, yes, this must be the photo you were referring to. Fire can be fun if you can figure out how to use it creatively, eh?

I actually like the title! Great motion in the flying embers.

I like you cropped version. I think I will recrop the original and upload it in the future. I left this one uncropped because I couldn't decide if people would just assume it was a PS trick. Also I will try a version dodging the fire to dim it down a little. Thanks for the good advice and the compliment.

Long exposure is an interesting game surely. Well... difficult on bright objects like fire. The effect at the top of it looks absolutely great however the overexposed fire is something that you cannod do many things on it... simple ''perchaps'' using PS or other program so make this very bright part not so bright. Now about the face... personaly I find this part of your photo stunning! I can say an idea, if you have big resolution on the normal photo that you have, try to croped it at the head incloud the fire effect at the left part of her face... like the excample..... I can say one of the best portraits ever for my taste. Best regards, JH.

I will comment on my own work :) Composition sucks... I really should have judged the wind and offset the fire to the right side of the frame to get more of the ember trails and less of the dull black.

is a good long exposure. The person behind had to be quiet... cheers.
