About	There are a lot of flaws in this picture. Should I include more of the corn stalk or less? Move in closer or further? I like this pic because for some reason it reminds me of the old Depression era photos. I guess it has potential. Thanks for taking a look.

I think I like the angle, but would prefer more lighting on the stalk.

You have a nice motive, I like the mood in the picture and you have a great sky. What perhaps would make it even better - as you also say would be some more effectful angle...

I have a digital camera and the luxury to try all imaginable angles and distances, and then choose the one I like (the one that is least bad) :)

I would probably try two different things here - one is to go really close to the top of the plant and try to get the plant against a clear sky and clouds beside the plant. The other thing I would try to do is to take a step backwards and a little bit lower and direct the camera upwards so that you get a picture of many plants, but still with this special one in front and some nice sky behind. When I read what I have written it sounds self-confident - I am not, just thinking loud ;)
