I love this. A most unusual wedding photo--a unique opportunity well taken that works well at a number of levels. I tried masking off the father's shoulder and although this centers the wedding pair in the background, it somehow severs the relationship between the girl and her father... with the shoulder there I can see what's going on, but without it, it's not so clear. By the way, I noticed your plea for discussion of why a rather humdrum shot (good, but hardly sensational) should be so favorably commented on (I see it's in the 99th percentile, now!). My answer? "There's no, but NO, accounting for taste." I happen to think that particular photographer is very gifted, but I sure liked a lot of his other photographs a lot better.

One of the best "away from the action" wedding shots I have ever seen. Great eye!

Excellet shot! One of the few really good weddingshots I've seen. IMHO you should corp the arm. Since it's black it makes the picture a little heavy to the right

In my own, humble little opinion, I say crop it off. In a perfect world, it would have been nice to see more of his arm, thereby seeing the father actively console the girl. As it is, it looks like she's just hanging on to him.
You were really on the ball to take this photo - very well spotted. :) The lighting and exposure in the foreground is wonderful, though I feel some of the blown out highlights in the background could be toned down a little.

Pretty and also a bit touching image, I like this moment and you were good to take this shot. The arm isn't distracting in my opinion, the composition is well balanced, with good lights and colors, I think you can leave it as is. Bye Max

This one breaks my heart. I bet the little girl felt so bad about her accident. I like it as is but also think removing the father's arm (shoulder?) would make it even stronger!

I have to admit that I am very impressed with this picture, specially for the combination of DOF and the background that completes the story ... personally I like it as it is and will not change anything ... Congrats!
