surprising low ratings - I like this picture very much (it's one of the few unique motives)

Is it a PS composition? I think yes, but it doesn't matter, it a beautiful composition as well, the surreal and dramatic landscape is very charming and suggestive

Hi Gerhard:

Normally, "two suns" don't bother me. However, in this shot, the contrast between the magnificent backlit landscape and the frontlit carvings is so great that my eye/mind simply refuses to accept this as a coherent scene. I wish I could suggest a solution, I've grappled with similar scenes myself and never really come up with anything fully satisfactory. One idea that opens up some new possibilities is to duplicate the carving layer and try blending both layers back into the landscape using a combination of blend modes such as overlay for layer 1 and color burn for layer 2. I've found this sometimes yields interesting results. And, in any event, light direction will no longer be an issue. --Jim

Gerhard, A strong image. I like the bold, hard figures also the shadows in their features. Great color and mist. Nice work!
