Isaac, I have been a self taught photographer for some 30 years. My Aunt gave me my grandfather's old Browning Box camera when I was a child. I used that camera to photograph every thing I came in contact with until I was in Jr. High School. I wanted to take classes then, but my parents couldn't afford the supplies or the camera that was required. Nothing changed by the time I went to High School. When I married my first husband bought me a Canon AE-1. I took a basic b/w class at the comunity college where I learn how to properly use a camera and compose a shot. I also learned how to delvelope and print my own film. Even then I was suprised how much I knew about photography already. My real problem is I didn't understand it as a science, and could not manage to do the same shoot twice. I let the class go when he was diagnosed with cancer. I continued to shoot, taking what I called "Pretty Pictures" of the kids until he died in 1995 . After sometime passed I remarried. When my new husband and I were moving he found some old pictures I had taken of the kids and said, If you took some more classes you could be something ( the image of Jessica when she was 19 mos. posted is one of those he found) . I went back to school, and I almost took everything pertaining to photography that Long Beach had to offer. Well, I graduated on May 29 of this year with my first degree in Photography. I am proud to say that I maintained a 4.0 gpa. Now I take Photos of my grand children. My history is simple and as I said I am a student of Photography. I still am learning here at Usefilm.com. Thank you, Deb.
Nice action shot Isaac. I do like how the field is tilted. Would just suggest cloning out the guy in the background and brightening up a bit. Just an idea. Good catch! Aloha!
