wow, Bjorn, this is very neat! i love doing stuff with water and i think your fish behaved very nicely for you! :)) i really love the wood texture in the water. It provides a really nice and natural bit of interest and balance to the fish and the plants. i do think you could improve the contrast on this shot as well. It will heighten your colors and visual depth i think.
By the way, if you want to see something very cool that i have noticed with shots of water, invert the image in photoshop just for fun. You won?t believe how suddenly everything that?s under the water?s surface just comes to life in the most interesting ways. Just for fun, mind you..it?s a favorite trick of mine and i have two images where i did it (Flow, River, Flow and Leafy Shadows).
This is a super image and i really like where your multiple exposure experiments are taking you...best regards: kat-
Do you have any idea how hard it is to hold a fish still in an aquarium, just so that it's dorsal fin does not touch the line between the planks, which at that moment is not even visible anymore???? But you are right, it is a bit of a pity. I really like experimenting with Multiple Exposures, although my wife hates it when I do that, making the head of our oldest sun appear in a television and stuff :-) You mention your 8x exposures, but I can't really find them in your portfolio, would you care to show them to me? You can mail them at bjorn@beheydt.be
Bjorn, this is cool. If only the back of the rightmost fish didn't touch the line between the planks (hey, you know I always have to find something :-) ). But really, I like the photo - the idea was a good one and you executed it well. Much better than my 8x exposures, which have only worked once so far, and not too well at that :-))) I hope to see more stuff like this from you.
