This image has been digitally manipulated (color saturation, blurring, color layers) to create what I envisioned Lothlorien forest (Tolkien) to look like in Spring.
Jeroen, A lush semi-tropical forest is what I have to work with here in Florida ... and this was taken in winter, when the vegetation sort of thins out.
Well, I guess I'll have to ask you to imagine Middle Earth global warming has struck ... :>)
Or maybe the elves have already left Middle Earth, and the forest has returned to its primitive state?
I wonder why you envision Lorien as a jumble of fallen trees and branches? I've always seen it as a relatively ordered forest, clean and open like a park. The dreamlike atmosphere is fitting.
Joffre, I like this image a lot, I like the color, the balance and the framing. I think I might like it more without the manipulations, how about a repost of the original image? Could it be even better? Let's see.
