beautiful, Karen. Delicate and strong at once. Beyond the process there's the composition, though, which I also think is perfect -- nicely balanced ithout being static or symmetrical. It all adds up to a really lovely artwork.

I wish everyone knew how much work these things were, and how much fun. This is a perfect scene for this kind of manipulation and reminds me of a distressed old postcard from Europe. The colors peaking out here and there add to the faded look and give it some special interest. Nicely done.

karen, very nice olde world tonality. nice transfer work. did you use watercolors/marshall oils for the pastel colors?
