hallo titia,
schon die farbversion hat mir sehr gut gefallen, aber das ist noch einmal eine steigerung in meinen augen, es passt einfach sehr gut zu dieser dramatischen stimmung.
WUNDERBAR.

A great choice of b&w, even for a rainbow. Real good composition with a great choosen greyscale.

The discrete gray levels in the sky is an unfortunate digital artefact here. It looks as if the rainbow is illuminating the house - it is so bright, especially in contrast to the dark stumps in the background.

Thanks friends, for all your lovely comments.
I didn't think of a rainbow in B&W at first, not until I had to print that picture on my B&W printer, for some other purpose. Then I saw how mysterious a B&W rainbow looked like.

Christian, that's a very nice crop, strong too, thanks.

Great effect here Titia. B&W amplifies the abstraction. I thought there would be another minimal composition possible, a square image. It looses the second rainbow, I know, but I let you judge.

Indeed it gives some mysterious effect, like the gods are about to come down from heaven to the little illuminated house...

That lighting is gorgeous. Who would have thought a rainbow could be so beautiful in b/w? Great job!

You should be able to do things now. Double rainbow, double pot of gold. Very effective in black and white. Very nice Titia. Don.

Rainbow without its quentessential colors and glitering sky ! Sounds like a blasphemy. But this one still retains the usual rainbow charm and beauty. very nice. well done.

Titia, difficult to portrait a rainbow in B&W and you've managed it perfectly. Great tones, composition and, I must say, what a backyard! Marília
