Well, well. A great lens, indeed. But, a great camera, a fantastic lens don't make the photographer great. It is the other way around, Cristiano. You are a great photographer, a sensible one and all this equipament just helps to improve yournatural talent. Marília

Very well composed, beautiful colors.
(great lenses too)
(we have to change some "tricks" about D100...it looks like "she" only likes a few lighting...at least the one I bought. How do you have yours configured?)

Cristiano, thanks for your response! I have used both the Hoya R72 Infrared and the B&W 093 Infrared on my Nikon D1x. Both work extremely well with some Photoshop post processing. However, I would encourage you to get feedback from a D100 user, as different cameras show very different results with these filters. I purchased both filters from B&H Photo in New York City.

Answering to Alan Sislen:

first of all thank you very much for the interesting question !
The reason of the difference are 3:

1) Yes, in the first shot I was at the top of Accademia Bridge (around 12 meters above the water)

2) If I remember correctly, I have used a 15 or 16mm "length-position" (not the full open 12mm of the second shot), so it was just a bit zoomed.

3) In the first shot I have cropped a bit both the lateral extremities because when I have seen on full screen the image, I have found a couple of public transportation boats disturbing a lot.

Thanks for your observations !

Regards, Cris.-

Cristiano, looks like you're having a great time with your new 12-24mm. Question - the first 12-24mm image you posted had the buildings totally "square" to the frame. Was that because you were on the bridge, and had the "film plane" parallel to the scene? In this image the buildings definitely lean. Is this because you were at water level and had the camera tilted? This is very interesting use of the 12-24mm, but I like your Accademia Bridge image much better and I'm just trying to understand why. (I recently purchased a 12-24 and am trying to learn from your wonderful images!)Thanks for your beautiful postings!
