I love the simplicity here. Its a truly relaxing image which makes me hunker down in my own chair and get comfy when I look at at. On a technical front you've managed to deal with a really wide range of tones, textures and surfaces and with only the tip of the left sandal suffering from a touch of glare, not that it detracts in any way. If I saw this as a colour image in a brochure for a tendy resort hotel I would not think it out of place. well done kat!

A nicely balanced scene with gentle tones and interesting lighting. There is a room in my house a bit like this so you have given me some ideas!
Thanks for you comments about the canal photo, Katia. No filters used, but some shifting of the "black point" in PS curves and a little "dodging" work on the geese to recover some detail.

I like this photo. As noted by others it's simple yet gives me a feeling. I sense Sun mornig sitting reading the papers with a coffee, or just sitting and looking at the view. Good use of natural light and effective crop of the chair. I like this type of work but often wonder what I'd do with the pic. It would probably have limited appeal after 10 views but would definately make it up on the wall in the breakfast room in my house.
