The problem with a photograph like this is coming up with any kind of pose that looks natural. When you have a clump of flowers on the ground, you are very limited in makeing it work. Anything but a head shot in these two cases wouldn't have worked because there wasn't enough background to use. So your comments are very welcome.
Another pose might have been for her to be holding one of the flowers, sort of bending it towards her, and looking down into it, instead of right at the camera. It would connect the two elements. Still, I like the softness of this shot and the colours are wonderful.
Something that may have worked with this photo would be to pull the model away from the flowers, maybe 10 ft or so, then use the flowers as forground color but much out of focus. The model would have to be standing to make this idea work. I think with both the flowers and the model in sharp focus there is too much distraction.
