You are right ana. Although he is a little soft he is indeed in focus. I skipped over that thought during my 1st viewing - but I guess that has to do with my seeing him as a distraction - just the way my head interprets it. I think there is a slight problem with making him the focus - his face is partially obscured but not in a way to make it mysterious maybe? Ie just a bit of the chin, cut too tight on the left.
I would be interested to hear what you were thinking when you framed him in. He certainly has an interesting expression. But doesn't quite sit with the rest of the photo as I am perceiving it.

:) sorry,Marek, the man behind it's not a distraction, he is "the picture"

Must have been really dark for ISO 3200 film to need such a long exposure at f/1.8. ITs too bad that it is so soft, because the emotion and cheer comes across very strongly. However the man behind the on the left is a distraction and could easily be cropped out.

a good happy shot Anabela a bit soft due to your shutter speed maybe, but I don't think it takes from the pic

I really like this shot, and rated it high on emotional appeal. The only negative thing for me is the very soft focus.
