very good scene and lighting. I would crop the left 1/3 of the shot to remove the fence. I like the lighting on the sand and the colour of the man's shirt matches the rest of the colouring in the photo.

You've taken a snapshot of a really good scene. The man's head is merging with the darker tree line. The fence is a distraction. The horizon is tilted. The image should be one of a man walking through the abstract. For visual impact try cropping the image at the horizon and imagine the man more forward in the scene surrounded by the abstract. I hope you get a chance to reshoot this.
