I think you should have focused on just the wrecks, the commotion in the background is quite distracting as I think it adds little to the main focus of the composition (to me this does not contrast the still moving and hte long gone). Also the placement of the closer hull is very centred and lacks balance, especially with its shadow cropped off on the side. You could have done a lot more with these subjects.
