About	This beautiful fern caught my eye while strolling alone through Yosemite Valley very early morning (6:30am or so). From the getgo I shot with black and white in mind. Not quite Ansel, but thought I give it a try. Used a Nikon D100 with 90mm macro lens on tripod. There was a slight wind so this was shot at a more wide open aperture than I would have liked. The fern was isolated from others and perhaps that\'s why I noticed more. So it was me and teh fern. This is the result.

Wouldn't it be lovely if we could capture light with digital cameras and translate it the way Adams did?

I think the biggest difficulty here is the grass - it is a bit distracting.

However, fitting tribute to a master...
