About
This photo was taken at a car show in McKinleyville, California. In the 1950's & '60's, you individualized your cars by customizing them to show your own personal likes. One of the things often done to the interior was to have the seats, door panels, and various other parts recovered in tuck-n-roll. The headliner was done in a simple flat cover out of the same material as the seats. My cars were all black inside which made for a hot seat to sit on in the summer. I lived in Southern California an it was easy to drive down to Tijuana, Mexico and get everything done for about $80. It was an adventure for sure. I took 8 or 9 cars down over my late teen years.
