Thanks Deb, Jim, and Debarshi. It's a sculpture on the campus of Oakland University, in Rochester, Michigan. I wish I could say when it was built, who the artist was, etc., but a quick look at OU's web site provided no info and I don't recall there being any sort of sign near it. I'll have to check next time I'm in the area. The tallest block is probably about eight feet tall. There's a road, a fence, and some signs behind it but by positioning myself carefully they weren't visible and I liked the lack of a sense of scale.
Hi, Mark. I think the color caught me most on this shot. The columns contrast very well against the sky, and the colors are very saturated. I think this one is done so well it almost looks less like a photo and more like an abstract piece by an artist. Seems like it could have been just a tiny bit more tightly framed or cropped. Great photo.
Ok, I give up. :) Are you going to tell us what this is? I think the perspective is what's throwing me here ... This isn't just an abstract, it's a puzzle. Well done!
