About Fern Canyon is located at Gold Bluffs Beach along the Northern California coast. The canyon is made up of vertical walls on each side and a sandy creek bed and year around creek. Over the years, the local ferns have adapted to growing on these vertical walls of stone. They gather much of their moisture from the frequent nights of fog.
