About	Another ground owl with darker markings. I went by the area this afternoon where I took this picture and saw a coyote so I will see if I can get a picture of him this week.

We are having a really dry winter season here in California Ray that it is almost like "fire season" so they have the dry grass in this area cut almost too the ground so there really isn't any place to hide so you have to blend in or go underground to avoid your enemies.

Love the camouflage that the owl has for it's surroundings and for me so unusual to see an owl on the ground. A good capture my friend, well done and very best wishes.
