Oh, the US administration under GW Bush has been quite clear, just rob the place and exploit things to the max. Short term view. I wish mother earth would hit back on Bush asap.

As for US citizens, I feel they are normal hardworking ad caring people. They will care about environment as soon as the hurricane has hit their houses. Or before. Many citizens are aware.

It is the present totally crazy economic system of finance, money, economic growth expressed in exploitation that ruins this planet.
Once this system has been replaced by a better one caring for long term goals ( including mother earths goals ) we are heading the right way.

Exactly true Harry.
I'll tell you a good example that the nature revenge on those who destroy it.
The Tsunami in December 2004 devastated the coastal area of the country. But a town called Induruwa (http://www.maplandia.com/sri-lanka/southern/induruwa/) did not damaged. There is a coral reef runs from the west coast to the eastern coast of the country. In 1990's people in those areas break it for make lime for building industry. When the tidal waves hit the coast there is no barrier & crashed land with force. Only that town area is saved.
If we play against it, the nature will get its revenge.
I think this is what had happen to USA now. (I'm not against or favor of USA) But its becoming more and more unlivable. Isn't it.
Watch the following and see whether I am lying or not?
Really nice to talk to you. :)

Sudeera,

The economic forecast for Asia is very promising in an economic way. Wealth, way of life, meat industry, more pollution buildings people food needed will put more pressure on nature and resources.
But don't worry, planet earth is a living planet and will fight for its existence. In long term nature will win anyhow and will not mourn over the extinction of the human race ... :-)

That's a big concern Harry. Number of wild elephants dwindling rapidly (alarmingly). As we humans destroy their homes they come to populated areas resulting human-elephant conflict. In Sri Lanka at least 200 wild elephants being killed every year. Same with leopards, bears & other animals.

We are in the process of making a real mess with the nature. So the payback would surely be messy. :(

Indeed Harry. Nature at its best here in Sri Lanka. You can find every type of climate or terrain within few hours travel, from dry shrub land to wet land(means totally wet), from plains to mountains and sandy sunny beaches. Which makes biodiversity at its best.
Thanks for the comment
Regards.

A fine set of bokeh colors and the dragon is like a king of the image. Nature is so diverse in your region.
Namaste,

Thank you very much Almax.
Actually its the beginning of the dry season and grass already dead. That is why this lizard has dull colors. If not it has a green camouflage.
