lack of sharpness is an issue, as well as the fact that the photo says very little, there is little to put the photo in context, so in essence it simply becomes 2 soldiers standing around.

Effective composition, but somehow the shot just isn't sharp anywhere. None of the lettering on any of the signs looks sharp, and there's also a vertical white line running through the Beret of the foremost soldier.
