There was some stunning light on Eilean Donan Castle at Loch Duich just before sunset so rather than shoot the castle in silhouette against the setting sun a small group of us hopped across the road bridge and shot the castle as it turned to gold. After some consideration I decided on a flagstone jetty, a small patch of which had been covered in luminous green seaweed, a low position gave an interesting perspective pushing depth of field to the limit but the results were very satisfying.

Pentax 67 II ,55-100mm,Fujichrome Velvia Polariser backed off 50%, 0.3ND hard grad across sky with 0.45ND hard grad staggered to water/jetty line to maintain 1.5 stop difference between sky and water. f/32 at 8 seconds.
