About Taken at the beach in Puri, Orissa. The temple town of Puri is the abode of Lord Jagannath. People believe that this was the bathing place of Sri Chaitanyadev who merged into Brahma (Divine Soul) here in Nilachal. Hindu pilgrims bathe in the place named ‘Mahadadhi’ at the beach, a sacred site on the shores of the Bay of Bengal. The beach and the Sea Beach Road are great shopping haunts for the tourists, with locally made decorative items and clothes as the main purchases.
