About	Fokje van der Veen Sister of Feiktje van der Veen Feiktje van der Veen is the mother of Abel Smilda. Abel Smilda married Rensktje Krol. They gave birth to Feikje Smilda. Feikje Smilda is my mum. Feiktje van der Veen is my great grandmother. In broken enlish/dutch it says "I have two of these. Has she been your aunt ?" I am pretty sure this image was send to my mum by either Harold and Beatrice Veeneman or Archie and Celia Pelton Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA In dutch by mum is written "tante Fokje" what means auntie Fokje. There is a family connection between these USA citizens and our family. Hope to find the link soon. Most likely the link is in the van der Veen family ( Fokje van der Veen or her family). Beatrice died and Harold Veeneman married Lourene. Harold visited the Netherlands ~1975 and I still have images where Harold is talking with Abel Smilda. I was doing the translations ;) In the winter 1982/1983 I visited Harold and Lourene in Los Angeles. Archie and Celia visited us in ~1980. Celia was the family link, she often wrote letters to mum in half dutch/half english.
