About It was ideal for trying a "macro-like" with a wide angle. The image is a stich of two shots. I hope it is not as noticeable. Any comments would be very welcome.

Oooops... Unfortunately I was too absorbed in the foreground. And now I see that there is such a terrible rupture on the background because of my stiching... Sigh!

Thanks a lot again, Andre!

Well, in this case I had the luck to have a good simple main object, the right idea and the right lens with me. Still notice that the wide aperture of a wide angle is different than that of a macro. It still allows a scene to be "present" too. It still contains depth, that is. or so I think about it. Anyway, it way not the same like taking it with some tele or macro lens.

Cheers!

Hi Nick,
And here you have your own very good example of how to use wide apertures to isolate the background. Our eyes go directly to the nuts and bolts. The background is a pleasant haze.
