City - Pranburi Sub-District State - PRACHUAPKIRI KHAN PROVINCE Country - Thailand
About
Shots were taken at Pranburi Sub-District. It is in a district in a northern part of Prachuapkiri Khan Province. Pran was a city in the southern cities group of Ayutthaya kingdom. In the reign of King Mongkut (Rama IV), the governor of Mueang Pran had full authorised administrative. In 1906 King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) merged Mueang Pran, Mueang Kamnoed Nopphakhun and Mueang Prachuap to a new Mueang Pran Buri and located the city hall at Tambon Ko Lak, now in Amphoe Mueang Prachuap Khiri Khan. In 1915 to prevent confusion between the cities' names, King Vajiravudh (Rama VI) changed the name of the province from Pran Buri to Prachuap Khiri Khan, as its center was at the same place as the former Mueang Prachuap. This also kept the name of the town and the Pran Buri river together.
The district is subdivided into 6 subdistricts (tambon), which are further subdivided into 44 villages (muban). There are two townships (thesaban tambon) - Pran Buri covering parts of the tambon Pran Buri, Khao Noi and Nong Ta Taem, and Pak Nam Pran covering parts of the same-named tambon.
Neighboring districts are Hua Hin to the north and Sam Roi Yot to the south. To the west is the Tanintharyi Division of Myanmar, to the east the Gulf of Thailand.
Mueang Pran Buri The main water resource of the district is the Pran Buri River. The mangrove forest at the mouth of the Pran Buri River to the gulf of Thailand is protected as the Pran Buri Forest Park. The Pran Buri beaches of the district are a popular touristic place, still less crowded than those of nearby Hua Hin
Dear Riny, A little bit wondering that the horizon means the horizontal axis or the background. Any way, 1) On an axis focus after I found V shape in the sky and on the tug boats so I decided to entertain this photo by leading the eyes in a diagonal line as viewers enable to see the V shape nicely as well as enabling to percieve my thought clearly. 2) With the background, your comment pinched me so much via the theory of landscape photo focus as I should return to the same place and step slightly to the left in order to keep the moutain picture more completely. Any way if these 2 assumptions are not matched to your comments, please guild me to the right direction. Best regards, PC
