Thanks for the encouragement :) I wanted to focus on the b&w "veins," on the side petals, for more detail and to get some other colors. No PS work done here for coloring. And yes, it was windy as (*&^%$)( that day LOL
Incredible blue color you captured! Is that real?? Wow. I like the blurred bg, am wondering if you did this in the camera or in PS. As with Sue, the image would be stronger if the flower was more in focus. It is hard to shoot flowers outdoors, as you seem to have done, because the wind can make it very difficult to get a selective focus.

Very nice lighting, Tim, and absolutely GORGEOUS colors!
I think a little more depth of field would really make this image. I find the large area of unfocused petal in the middle to be distracting. My eye keeps trying to bring it into focus.
