Lowell!!!! Thank you, and please forgive my not seeing this before. I love shallow depth of field so much, and everything behind going into a blur that really makes a whole magical world. Once you start doing it over and over again, pretty soon you aren't taking a picture of a "thing" as much as you are capturing the way the light and shadow play in the frame.
What I like about this one is the way the light just leaps around in the background, then decides to slide down the curve of the leaf. I think you could go even closer if your lens will let you, but this is a really fine beginning at playing with light and greenery. Keep it up, we'll inspire each other!
