About It was at about this time that I quest-ioned my decision to be flown down to
this island. The strip sure looked short. The pilot assured me that only
twice in his memory had planes overshot
the runway! The runway was gravel and
dirt. The landing was very exciting.

Thanks for your interest in the plane. Our pilot
was a super guy. He made all sorts of tilts and
swings so we could get aerial pictures. This was
a most wonderful experience.

Nice shot of the pilot and plane, Jerry! Looks like you were in a good machine, and in the hands of a capable pilot they're great workhorses. They're used extensively in the bush in this country (Canada).

Hi Jerry.
Sounds like a nice advanture! :)
As long as you know how to swim (Of course, ex- US Navy Guy- it is a given:)) and as long as it is a floating aircraft, I am sure you will be just fine! :)) I've never been to that part of the world yet but sure looks like a fun place to be.
Be well.

thanks for your comment. This was a very exciting
place to visit...actually, it was one of the more
exciting things I have ever done. and I am an
ex-US Navy guy who has landed on an aircraft
carrier...now that is really scary!!!!best regards

A great "on final" shot, Jerry! What was the type of plane?

Looks very scary!
I think airplanes are very big for this runway. They should be using only helicopters! :)
