I'm sorry for your Nikon D80.
I chose G9 in place of my old Camedia 2000; I bought a compact camera instead of a DSLR camera because I do not want to abandon my analog outfit (Hasselblad, Zeiss, Contax). G9 is a good camera with some limitations: - too little sensor for a 12 Mp camera, the result is image too noisy yet at 200 ISO - unfortunately I got some problems with dust inside the lens (not on the sensor): "Canon service" replaced my lens barrel two times until now
Ciao Domenico

Thank you Domenico,
Regarding my G9, I like it a lot. It replaced a Nikon D80 that was stolen in Russia. It has technical limitations, but it still takes good shots, as you demonstrate, and its portability is a big compensation.
You?
Regards, Richard

Very well composed shot, Richard! I like its tones and geometry. I'm flattered that my works have somehow given you inspiration. Are you satisfied with your G9? Best regards Domenico

A superb abstract Richard and no doubt it was taken in your beautiful county of lancaster. I spent a very enjoyable holiday there a few years ago.

I like this Richard. Muscular concrete; web-like strands of metal. Good perspective.

Anthony
