A ring I bought on the market within Bab Al Yemen in Sanaa 1986. Yemen.
Now I learned in KSA that certain antique sellers sold newly made coffeepots, put dents in it and gave it a bath of camel dung. This was enough to fool "USA visitors" and sell it as real antique.
The ring seems genuine to me, cannot give it a timestamp. Ant aarif ? Kaam sana ?
The ring has a high 'tower like thing on it" so I assume it related to status. Or otherwise i have to use a saw to see if diamonds are hidden inside.
Not for sale, its for my bride.
The music, i heard when I was in Yemen, was around all the time, and I was busy for work. I was able to eg distinguish egyptian music ( more symphonic ) from other 2 or 3 styles. It is only now that I can look back I can replay it, really enjoy it, sing with it and fine memories pop up.
Hahaha, yeah, well, pesimism it my obstacle, but anyway, my love for my Kus is very strong and gives me power enough to wait for him ;) Still, forcing to be optimistic is highly needed :P
Oh, thanks Harry ;) Yeah, I love Kus very much and now I'd like to have another powerful ring to make him come here faster :) Well, only solid and powerful love has sense here, he is far away now and it's long way for us to be together - really, not just for a short time in holidays... Wah, I hope it will be OK, just you know my damned pesimism :P
I have been fighting to combat Kus in order to obtain your love. I see I cannot win. I see your love for Kus is as solid as rock, steel, and powerful as zirkonium ;-)
Congratulations. I will cease fighting and show you my true love for you by letting you do whatever makes you happy. That is my way to show my love for you ;-)
Yeeep, I know that most north Ottomans were in Vienna. Polish king Sobieski defeated Ottomans during the battle of Vienna in 1683 ;)
BUT, I think that my Kus still can be protected against any power also in Poland because of Polish-Turkish friendship (plus Polish-Turkish love of course ;) ). Turkey was the only country that didn't accept the invasion and division of Poland between Russia, Austria and Prussia. After that even the Polish village in Istanbul was founded for those who escaped to Turkey after invasion (the village was called Adampol, and Aylin let me know that now it's called Polonezkoy). Poland is thankful to Turkey and cos of that fact Turkish Kus will be safe within our borders :P
No, you are so right and so smart dear Ania ! :-) Please read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ottoman_Empire
Ottoman empire was great, maybe as powerful as the Roman empire. However the most north the Ottomans did get was the city of Vienna. Thus because the ring will only protect Kus within the borders of the ancient ottoman empire, i.e. up to Vienna. But not Warsaw !! ;-)
The ring I have now was purchased in Yemen. It must have been made in the period 1566-1683.
As a warning, in this part of history a man named Kösem had a nasty end in 1651 ....... :err: during:
"The Sultanate of women (1648–1656) was a period in which the political influence of the Imperial Harem was dominant, as the mothers of young sultans exercised power on behalf of their sons. This was not wholly unprecedented; Hürrem Sultan, who established herself in the early 1530s as the successor of Nurbanu, the first Valide Sultan, was described by the Venetian Baylo Andrea Giritti as 'a woman of the utmost goodness, courage and wisdom' despite the fact that she 'thwarted some while rewarding others'.[27] But the inadequacy of Ibrahim I (1640-1648) and the minority accession of Mohammed IV in 1646 created a significant crisis of rule which the dominant women of the Imperial Harem filled [28]. The most prominent women of this period were Kösem Sultan and her daughter-in-law Turhan Hatice, whose political rivalry culminated in Kösem's murder in 1651."
So please, when you wake up in your haunted bedroom house, listen to the sound of the past !!!! ;-) ;-)
No, it has magic powers Ania. It will help me to stop your Kus from Turkey to go to you and then I can visit you instead. I now know where your room is hahahahaha ;-)
